My brother Angel designs the stencils and teaches you how to carve with them. I print them and send them your way. Together, we help you spend less time wondering what to draw and more time carving.

Our beginning
It started with a gift for my niece.
I wanted to make something special for my niece, Angel’s daughter. Off-the-shelf gifts just didn’t feel personal enough for her. That search led me to 3D printing, and I started making nameplates with people’s names.
When I decided to sell on Etsy, my very first order was for ten nameplates. Ten! What began as a gift idea was becoming a business.
About a year later, I encouraged Angel to dust off his old 3D printer. He was getting into wood carving, but drawing a design before he could cut was getting in the way. He wanted to get straight to carving. So he started printing stencils for himself.
He shared how they helped him, and the carving community asked if he would sell them. Angel brought the idea to me: what if we made these stencils part of Ronan3D? On the first day, we received about five orders. He could hardly believe it.
He kept designing, making tutorials, and bringing together carvers who shared that same struggle. That is how Ronan3D and Appalachian Wood became a partnership between two brothers.

Angel designs & teaches.
Angel creates the original designs, tests them by carving, and shares them with the community. He makes a YouTube carving tutorial for nearly every stencil, so you can follow along with the person who designed it.

I print & ship.
I handle the printing, check every print, and give each order care before it leaves for your workshop. If something is wrong with your order, you can reach out to me for help.

Carved before it reaches you.
A design takes Angel about two weeks. There is a real sketch, a real test carving, and time spent getting it right behind each one.
An idea on paper
A little inspiration or a seasonal carving starts it off. Angel sketches the design on paper, working out what he wants to carve.
A digital design
He builds the sketch digitally to create a printable stencil. Every design is his own work, with no AI-generated or copied designs.
A real test carving
Angel uses the stencil to carve a test piece. Only when he is happy with it does the design become available to buy.
Printed with care
I print the stencils, personally check each print for quality and everyday handling, and carefully pack and ship your order.

If you are new to carving, not knowing what to draw or carve shouldn’t keep you from trying. Our stencils give you a design to start with, and Angel’s tutorials help you take it further.
If you already carve, they help you repeat a design consistently and spend more of your time on the carving itself.
