Plastic Sharpening Slip Stones for Wood Carving Gouges and Tools
Make sharpening your gouges and V-tools easier with these 3D-printed plastic slip stones. Designed specifically for use with sandpaper, the set includes four different profiles to help sharpen and maintain the inside edges of a variety of carving tools.
Four Useful Sharpening Profiles
The set includes four different profiles:
- Three rounded profiles, ranging from 1/8" radius to 3/8" radius
- One 30-degree V-shaped profile for V-tools
Simply wrap or hold a piece of sandpaper against the appropriate profile and use it to work along the inside of your gouge or V-tool.
Easier & Safer to Hold
Each slip stone is large enough to comfortably hold a piece of sandpaper in place while sharpening. This gives you better control while helping keep your fingers farther away from the cutting edge of the tool.
Designed to Work With Different Gouges
Please note that these profiles are not intended to perfectly match every individual gouge or chisel. Instead, the rounded profiles are designed to be rolled along the inside of the gouge with sandpaper attached, allowing them to work with a variety of different curves and sizes.
These tools are intended for maintaining and sharpening the inside edge of your gouges and V-tools. The primary sharpening of the exterior bevel should still be performed using an appropriate flat sharpening stone or other sharpening method.
